Wild Boar Week, a celebration of game in Rye

Rye has gained the reputation over the past few years as a destination for those who love their food. This month, and at the end of every October, Rye celebrates the abundance of locally sourced wild boar and game in Wild Boar Week (21st - 29th October 2017). This festival showcases a variety of local game including mallard, partridge, pheasant, rabbit, venison and, of course, wild boar. Many of the restaurants, pubs, inns and bistros feature special menus and dishes alongside their regular menus, other festival events include live music, walks and guided tours.
